At Medica, you will get more information about our functionalized polymers for biomedicine and medical technology, for example for the development of implants. We will present a 3D-printed chamber for tissue cultivation that can be implanted under the skin as well as an artificial cornea. We also present the SmartID project. Fraunhofer researchers have developed a counterfeit-proof barcode system that can be used to authenticate products simply by smartphone without accessing a database. Other topics include nanoparticles for medical applications and isocyanate-free polyurethanes for medical products.
